Daniel Ott

After graduating from UCSB in 1993 with a double major in Film and History, Dan was accepted at USC-Lucas for film school. Studying the cultural impacts of Hollywood Cinema (particularly Westerns in the post-Vietnam era), Dan received his MA in Critical Studies of Cinema, with designs on teaching Film History & Film Genre. A year of Ph.D work in Michigan, and subsequent adjunct teaching roles at Fordham University helped Dan realize his passion for film, but also a desire to put food on the table! For the past 12 years, Dan has worked for Ernst & Young/Capgemini doing Transformational Consulting ( read: Training and Communications). Just recently, he landed a project at Sony Pictures Entertainment, supporting the Digital Distribution Backbone, which is cutting edge technology for supplying entertainment content around the globe.
