BRIEF BIO:
Jennifer Holt works in the areas of film and television history, media industry studies and political economy. Her courses include Media Historiography, Global Media and TV Criticism. Her current research looks at the effects of deregulation and government policy on the structure and products of media industries. She has published articles in various journals and anthologies including Film Quarterly, Quality Popular Television, and Media Ownership: Research and Regulation. She is the co-editor of Media Industries (Blackwell, forthcoming 2009) and is currently finishing a manuscript entitled Empires of Entertainment, which examines deregulation and media conglomeration from 1980-1996. |
