SHORT BIO

Diana Pozo is a PhD student in Film and Media Studies at the University of California at Santa Barbara. She earned a bachelor's degree in Film and Media Studies and French Literature from Swarthmore College, and an MA in Film and Media studies from UCSB. Diana has presented at international conferences on topics including the politics of revision and translation in Hergé's Tintin in the Congo, transgender women's video blogging communities on YouTube, and the geography of multiplayer military first-person shooting games. Her research interests include feminist film theory, queer theory, film and the nonvisual senses, animation and comic books, video game studies, and posthumanist approaches to digital media.
