BRIEF BIO:
Born and raised outside of Chicago, I left the midwest immediately after graduating when a housefire destroyed all my husband's and my worldly goods. Seeing it as possibly our only opportunity to easily make a move to California, we drove directly to Santa Barbara and have been here ever since. I worked a temp job for 6 months for the Broadway producer of "Hair" in Montecito, and then applied at UCSB. I worked three years in the Graduate School in Education, but then a position opened up in Film Studies in 1974 and I've been here ever since. |
