Marissa Cazem is an aspiring and growing entrepreneur with a knack for storytelling. After graduating from UCSB in 2010, she switched from a career in entertainment at NBC Universal’s E! News to a career in technology public relations. Today, at Intuit she shares the stories of self-employed millenials, female entrepreneurs, and pro-consumers; a dynamic group in a rapidly growing sector also known as the ‘gig economy’. Marissa applies what I gleaned from the entertainment industry into PR & communications strategy across a diverse range of verticals and disciplines. With a mix of both agency and in-house experience, Marissa’s passion for purposeful public relations and an innate desire to exceed expectations enables her to take on a variety of roles impacting growth in Fortune 500 companies, startups, small, and midsize businesses. When not in work mode, you can Marissa dreaming up her next big project, experimenting with organic DIY skincare, or traversing the great outdoors in search of one-of-its-kind experiences to share with others.
